False reporting of NON-EMERGENCY calls responded will result in a  $25.00 fee

EMERGENCY GUIDELINES: (Monday through Friday 5:00 pm - 8:30 am and on weekends and holidays):

  1. Gas leaks either inside or outside of the unit (smell or sound)
  2. Smoke detectors (Carbon dioxide check)
  3. Elevator not working or individuals trapped in the elevator
  4. Severe storm damage
  5. All fires
  6. Air conditioning - M. S. Hayworth Apartments June 1st through September 15th
  7. Heating failures (response within the hour if not on an emergency October 15th through May 15th & temperatures are less than 50 degrees)
  8. Clogged sewer mains (if the sewer backs up in the tub or overflows from the commode to the floor) Clogged commodes are reported between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, or extended holidays when Rocky Mount Housing Authority will not be open the next day. No other calls pertaining to stop-up will be responded to after these hours with the exception of mainline stop­ ups
  9. Broken water pipes either inside or outside the unit (not draining)
  10. Hot water heaters (burst or leaking)
  11. Electrical shortages (if smoke is prevalent)
  12. Refrigerators (if not keeping food)
  13. Lockouts (Check identification with Lead Tech if needed)
  14. Broken out glass in doors and windows
