Applications for Public Housing

This notice is to announce that Public Housing Department for The Rocky Mount Housing Authority will be accepting applications for its waiting list!

DATE AND TIME APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED:
April 6th, 2026 at 9:00 am

WHERE TO PLACE AN APPLICATION:
All applications will be accepted online only at http://rmha.housingmanager.com or www.rm-ha.org 

NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS AND THE BEDROOM SIZES BEING ACCEPTED:
400 applications will be accepted for 2, 3, & 4 bedrooms only

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN PLACING YOUR APPLICATION ONLINE:

• Include yourself and each person that will be on your application, as well as everyone's correct date of birth and social security number when asked to do so.
• Enter your correct mailing address, phone number, and email address when asked to do so while completing the application.

FOR THOSE WHO NEED SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS

• Those with special needs can request for a special accommodation to place an application by contacting our office before April 6th, 2026, at 252-450-3533 to schedule an appointment.
• If your call is not received, leave a voice message, and we will return a phone call to you within 48 hours.

Note that the Rocky Mount Housing Authority has the right to suspend "taking applications" at any time without notice.
